I was contemplating writing a blog entry around how it would be better to be a poor person here in Austria versus the USA. Then this BBC Panorama program aired entitled "Poor America."
Interesting, that even our British allies are now also bashing the USA. Much of this film can be disputed. Take the guy living underground in Vegas complaining about water rushing in when it rains. What would one expect living in a storm sewer. He's broke but is stll able to afford Marlboro cigarettes at $8 a pack, of which he probably smokes a pack a day. Where does he get the money for that? Most of the people in the film looked pretty heathy, you want to see poor, go to some of the former colonies of Briton.
